The International Milling Directory‘s Tom Blacker attended the Christmas party of the London and South East Millers Society (LSEMS) in St James’s, London on Tuesday 10th December.

The new LSEMS secretary Graham Bruce met and registered all attendees in the reception hallway before all attending members of the LSEMS took the stairs to meet in the dining hall.

There was some talk about the recent IAOM conference and expo in S0usse, Tunisia; about the year in general for the milling industry and for 2014 to come. The atmosphere was friendly and exciting – the food, drink and raffle keenly caught the eyes of all and it centered the evening truly on the ‘party’ before some went over to The Clarence pub on Dover Street for an after party.

This is of course where our main archive of our sister magazine, Grain & Feed Milling Technology is based. There will be many more occasions for The International Milling Directory and Perendale to staff to be at this grand building again soon to play our part in the milling industry as we have since 1891.
